This course is the 2nd part of a series on Securities and Futures Markets. It particularly talks about the Fundamentals of Insider Dealing in Hong Kong, which consists of two lessons.

In the first Lesson, Definition of Insider Dealing, you will learn:
  • The essential concepts involved in insider dealing; and

  • Specific situations where insider dealing occurs

In the second Lesson, Specific Principles in Insider Dealing, you will learn:

  • The defences and exceptions to insider dealing, or when an individual who is presumed to be an insider dealer may not be held liable

  • The sanctions for insider dealers, or the prohibition and penalties that will be prescribed by the Market Misconduct Tribunal once insider dealing is established, and

  • The wider regulatory framework, or the requirements that exist for the protection of investors and minority shareholders in Hong Kong
